Looked out the backyard today -- saw a sunny Saturday afternoon, with many flowers in full bloom -- and I thought, "it would be such a waste if I didn't take any pictures", so here they are....

Afternoon in Santa Monica

Couple of friends wanted to bike along the Santa Monica beach, so I went with them, thinking I can practice using my new camera. It's a nice day out, and the crowded boardwalk proves that.





Saw some interesting houses on my way to the bike rental place. Apparently some people have too much money and nowhere to spend it.













As it turned out, when my friends said they're gonna bike, they really meant it!! Nobody wanted to stop and check out the ocean view that's literally next to us, or slow down a bit and take it easy. My camera stayed in the backpack the whole time because I was peddling too hard to take a picture! I believe they completely missed the point of taking a leasure ride along the beach.

I did manage to take a few pictures before/after the ride though...
